How to play
Make the connection.
Find the themed words hiding in the grid. The route you take matters, too.
Trace a word, one tile at a time.
- Look at the theme. Every answer fits the puzzle’s theme.
- Press a letter and drag. Connect tiles that share an edge: up, down, left, or right. Paths can turn, but can’t jump gaps or move diagonally.
- Include the blanks. A blank adds no letter to the word. It can bridge letters or let your path take a longer route through the grid.
- Find the remaining words. Tiles already assigned to another word aren’t available for your next path. Think about how the answers fit together.
Why the blank matters
Take the tutorial’s little row C → A → blank → T. Drag through all four tiles and you still spell CAT. The blank isn’t a missing letter to guess; it’s part of the route.
In the fruit example, APPLE follows A, P, P, L, blank, E. CHERRY uses the other two rows. Together their paths cover the board. If you find words while leaving blanks untouched, look for a better route.
How scoring works
Every puzzle is worth up to 1,000 points. On untimed puzzles, those points are split between your moves and the blanks you leave behind. Daily and Challenge puzzles are timed: the same 1,000 points are available, but part of your score depends on how quickly you finish.
Hints can help when you’re stuck, but they cost points. Open the game’s Score breakdown to see exactly where your points came from.

The in-game Tutorial walks you through dragging, blank tiles, themes, and hints using playable examples. Difficulty changes the help the game gives you, so start small and build confidence.
