Made in Rhode Island
Built by two friends who kept score
Drawing Blanks is made by Summit Rhode LLC, founded by Christian Laiter and Joey Dwyer.
How it started
Christian and Joey met in college in 2013. In 2021 they started playing Wordle and competing on the New York Times crossword every day, back when it was still free to play. Before long they were running elaborate spreadsheets that tracked each day’s scores and decided who won.
Drawing Blanks grew out of that rivalry. The goal was a free-to-play game that gives friends the same fun of a daily competition, with the scorekeeping built in.
The idea is in the blanks
Finding a word is satisfying. Finding the path that connects it is the extra challenge in Drawing Blanks. Letter tiles and blank tiles share the same board, so you’re looking for the right words and a way to make their paths fit together.
A game you can make part of your day
Try a Daily, explore a themed pack, compete Head-to-Head, or create a Challenge to share with friends. Whether you have time for one puzzle or a whole collection, there’s a place to start.
Play wherever suits you
The web version is the full game, not a demo. Native apps are also available for iPhone, iPad, and Android if you prefer an installed experience.
