Do I need to install an app?
No. The full game runs in your browser, so you can play now. The iOS and Android apps add push notifications and haptics.
Do I need an account to start?
You can start today’s Daily and the Starter Pack as a guest. Features such as the Archive, Challenges, Head-to-Head, and purchases use an account. The game will offer sign-in when a feature needs one.
What do blank tiles do?
They connect letters without adding a letter to the word. Move through neighboring tiles up, down, left, or right; diagonal moves are not allowed. Visit How to Play for an example.
When does the Daily reset?
A new Daily is available at midnight Eastern Time. The Daily share link takes your recipient straight to the current Daily.
What affects my score?
Moves and blanks left affect score. On Daily and Challenge puzzles, time also matters. For your solve’s points and hint deductions, open Score breakdown in the game.
Can I play a Daily I missed?
Sign in and open Daily Archive. Free accounts can access yesterday’s Daily; Drawing Blanks+ includes the prior 90 days. The calendar shows the available play and review actions.
What does Drawing Blanks+ include?
Plus removes ads, gives access to the prior 90 days of Daily Archive puzzles, and includes five free Challenge publications per day. After that, publishing costs 500 gems. See the game’s Plus page and checkout for current pricing and subscription details.
Does Plus include hints or expansion packs?
No. Drawing Blanks+ does not include free hints or free expansion packs. Those are separate from membership.
Can Plus members still watch rewarded ads?
Yes. Plus removes ads, but where rewarded ads are available you can still choose to watch one for extra gems.
How do I make a puzzle for someone?
Open Create a Puzzle, add your title and answers, preview, and publish a Challenge. Publishing costs 500 gems, or uses one of your five free daily publications with Drawing Blanks+. Read the creation guide.
Are Challenge links private?
No. Anyone with the link can forward it to other people. Keep personal information out of titles and answers, and share only content you have the right to use.
Where can I find new packs?
Browse My Packs and the Pack Store in the game. The catalog shows the collections currently available to you.
How do I get help or report a problem?
Visit Contact for support and privacy requests. Use Report Puzzle on a Challenge to report inappropriate content.
